Located in west central Manitoba, the Town of Swan River is the heart of the Swan Valley area with an abundance of shopping and regional service offerings. Swan River has been growing since the pioneers founded the community in the 1800´s and it continues to grow today as people discover the relaxing energy of this friendly Town.

The Valley is nestled between the Duck Mountain provincial park and the Porcupine Mountain provincial forest, making it one of the most picturesque and fertile areas in the province. You are invited to come experience it for yourself!

Message from Mayor Glen McKenzie

We are very proud of our community as it is an enjoyable and memorable place to live or visit. The town is the commercial centre of the Swan Valley and is home to many regional services including education, health and government offices.

Swan River and area also offer wonderful recreational amenities including a golf course, curling club, skating arena, museum, new soccer fields, ball diamonds, swimming pool, playgrounds, pristine lakes only minutes away, and a trail system along the river which meanders through the Town. Beautiful parks exist for those who enjoy more leisurely recreational pursuits.

With affordable housing, numerous events and organizations to participate in, and friendly people... Swan River offers an excellent quality of life and is a great place to raise a family and to do business.
