As our community continues to recover, residents are encouraged to begin removing sandbags from their properties. To assist with this process, the following disposal options are available:
Option 1 – Reuse the Sand
If needed, use the sand on your own property to repair areas that have been eroded or washed out by the flooding.
Option 2 – Drop Off at the Town Shop Yard
Residents may bring sandbags to the Town Shop Yard, where they can:
- Empty the sand into the designated sand pile.
- Place the empty sandbags into the provided dumpster.
Option 3 – Contractor Pickup
If you are unable to transport the sandbags yourself, place filled sandbags on your front lawn at the curb for contractor pickup.
Flood Debris & Sandbag Collection
Contractors will be making a collection pass on Tuesday, July 21 to pick up flood debris and sandbags that have already been placed at the curb. Additional collection passes will be scheduled in the coming days to ensure all materials are removed.
Please remember:
- Place materials on your lawn at the curb, not on the street.
- Keep sandbags and flood debris together in an accessible location.
- If you have items outside that you do not want disposed of, ensure they are clearly separated from the debris pile.
